Hello Reader, Happy September! I just wrapped up one of my hardest Capitol Routes - Santa Fe, NM, to Denver, CO! One of my favorite things about making big journeys where I'm trying to get from point A to point B is that you get stronger every day. It's a great feeling! It doesn't matter if you are hiking the Camino de Santiago, competing in India's Rickshaw Run, or biking from Capitol to Capitol - you will get stronger physically and mentally every day of the journey. That's precisely how I completed 25,000 ft. of climbing over four mountain passes on this route. By the end - I knew my legs could handle it, even though they were pretty tired! I finished to a crowd of friends and had one of the best post biking celebrations ever! The entire trip made me to thankful that I live in Colorado and have the mountains at my disposal. I love the Colorado mountain towns and made a point to try to show them off during this route! You can see the highlights from my ride and colorful Colorado here! If you are new to the Capitol to Capitol quest, check out my docu-series that starts at the beginning! What's NextTomorrow, I leave for Asia for three weeks! I'm so excited about this trip because it includes a new country that has been on my bucket list forever—Bhutan. It also includes an old favorite that I have not been to in 15 years—Bangkok. And it includes one of my favorite Asian countries—Japan. I have a very short time in Bangkok, but I plan to eat as much green papaya salad and get as many massages as possible! Then I'm off to Bhutan to discover this country through the lens of happiness! Finally, I'm stopping in Japan for a few days on my way home to do some final research on the 2 new tours I plan to launch there next fall. I hope you'll follow along on my social channels where I'll provide live updates on my Asia travels. Follow my stories on either one of these channels! Happy Travels! How to Save Money on Your Next TripI've been using an Allianz Annual Travel Insurance plan for the last five years—and I absolutely love it! If you have more than three trips planned this year, you should consider getting an annual plan. And I'm not talking about big international trips. A trip can be a short flight to Grandma's—you are covered as long as it's 100 miles from your home. Read my article about annual travel insurance to learn more. Here are some of my top benefits to Annual Plans:
Check out the Allianz annual plans here. I renew mine this month and then I don't have to think about it again until next year! Ottsworld ToursNew Women's Hiking Tour to Nepal Just Launched!

Hello Reader, This is it...the year is winding down...and so am I along with it. There are things I love about my career (it truly is the best), and there are things I struggle with and wish to change. One of those things is vacation. I rarely take a real vacation - one that doesn't involve work (writing, social media sharing, photography, leading tours), one that is just for me. That's the downside of being a travel blogger/content creator I suppose. But for the remainder of the year - I'm...

Hello Reader, Ugh—I sort of hated typing that subject line and putting the words grateful and black Friday in the same sentence. Sorry. However, there is room to hold both inside of me, which is why I decided to leave the subject line and send this email. I'm getting ready to hop on a plane on the busiest travel day in the US to spend a few days with family in South Dakota. I'm going to take the advice that I provided recently on a local radio show and go to the airport early. I will be...
